All About Mrs. Kingsland

Dear Families,

 

This will be my 18th year teaching Social Studies at PRMS.

I originally hail from Massachusetts and moved to South Carolina in 1996 after graduating from The University of Massachusetts/Amherst with a Bachelors of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, & Travel Administration (Business). I graduated from The University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!!:) with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2004.

My husband, Ryan, is also a teacher in Lexington District 1 and I have two stepdaughters named Aubrey (15) & Riley (12) and a son named Tyler (5). We also have fur babies named Mystics (dog) and Sawyer, Dr. Dre, Biggie Smalls & Marshall (cats), a fish named Swim Shady Aqua Man and at times. various foster animals. We sadly lost our 14 year old yellow lab named Pumpkin last summer, as well as our 19 year old cat named Lou last spring and miss them both dearly.

 

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, visiting my parents who recently moved from Bluffton to Maryland, traveling, reading, golfing & volunteering at PETSinc.

I have also previously held the position of Lexington County District Leader of The Humane Society of The United States, which enabled me to lobby for animal rights and protection, causes close to my heart.
