Hawkins- Band

         My name is Shardé Hawkins and I am the band director at Pine Ridge!

         This is my 4th year at PRMS and my 10th year of teaching. Pine Ridge Bands have earned Excellent ratings at Carowinds Festival of Music, Superior and Excellent ratings at Solo and Ensemble Festival, participated in the Lex2 Honor Band and have participated in Region Band. Prior to PRMS, I taught at Saluda Middle School for six years. While at SMS, I taught band, guitar, and music appreciation and served as the Assistant Director for the high school marching band. 

           I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from The University of South Carolina Aiken in 2015 (Go Pacers!). While at USCA, I played in the University Wind Ensemble, Athletic Band, Jazz Band, Personal Expression Jazz combo, Percussion Ensemble, SC Percussive Art Society’s Intercollegiate Percussion Ensemble and SC Intercollegiate Honor Band. My main instruments are percussion and viola.

              Outside of music, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and weightlifting! I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at Pine Ridge!
