WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two has released its 2018-19 academic calendar.
The calendar, approved during the March 15 Board of Trustees meeting, designates the first day for students as Monday, Aug. 20. Current state law requires that no South Carolina public school start classes before the third Monday in August -- which this year is Aug. 20.
The final day of classes for students will be a half-day on Friday, May 31, 2019.
The new calendar also designates a roughly two-week winter break, week-long spring break, and three weather makeup days as required by state law -- two of which fall on scheduled student holidays. There also is a day off on Tuesday, Nov. 6, for elections.
