WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two has released its 2022-2023 academic calendar.
The calendar designates the first day for students as Monday, August 15, 2022. Current state law requires that no South Carolina public school start classes before the third Monday in August.
The new calendar also designates a nearly two-week winter break, a Thanksgiving break, an extra Friday off to accompany a week-long spring break, and three weather makeup days as required by state law.
The final day of classes for students will be a half-day on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
The calendar was approved by the school board. Input on the calendar was gathered from district teachers, staff, administrators and others.
