PRMS L.E.A.D.S. Program

The L.E.A.D.S. program is designed for students who display a strong interest in building 21st century leadership skills for the application and analysis of science, technology, engineering, and math, to include use of creative arts and the design process. 

L.E.A.D.S. will serve students with personal characteristics including persistence, thirst for knowledge, an eagerness to explore new areas of scientific information and a willingness to engage in minds-on activities related to STEM education.

Due to the safety & security of our students, there will be no early dismissals after 3:00 without administrative approval.  We cannot guarantee phone messages taken over the phone will reach your student. 

You must write a note if your child's transportation is different than normal and have your child take it to the office.  Car pick up is only in front of the school between the sidewalk black poles. 

We hope that you understand that these procedures are necessary for PRMS to operate safely and efficiently. Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns at 755-7400.

Band and Chorus shine at Carowinds Festival of Music
Congratulations to the concert band and Mr. Lindler for their Excellent rating at the Carowinds Festival of Music on Saturday, April 23rd. They actually were one Superior rating away from being Superior overall.  PRMS 
Chorus received a Superior rating; congratulations to the 7th and 8th choral members and Mrs. Amick and Mr. Johnson. Outstanding job setting the GOLD Standard of Excellence in the Arts!

PRMS wins SCASC State Awards!
PRMS is very proud of our hard working Student Government, teacher Daniel Bailey, and principal Brad Coleman. They took home numerous awards at the SC Association of School Council's state convention including first place in Community Service, first place video project, first place school spirit, the Gavel Award, and the Gold Council Award. 
Student Government President Kallie Richbourg was inducted into the Terry McCoy Leadership Hall of Fame and received the Dale D. Hawley Award for Leadership Excellence. 
PRMS principal Brad Coleman was recognized as Principal of the Year and teacher Daniel Bailey was elected as SCASC President and honored as SCASC Advisor of the Year.

PRMS will welcome our rising 6th graders and their parents the evening of May 24th. A Parent Night flyer was included in third quarter report cards and is also attached at the bottom of the web page. Please return the flyer by May 22nd so we can address questions you may have for us.

Summer Enrichment Programs 
Lexington Two and USC are offering a summer program at Northside Middle School July 11-15 for rising sixth and seventh graders. The 2016 Science & Technology Enrichment Program will have fun, hands-on science and technology lessons. See the two flyers at the bottom of the page for more information. 
More summer opportunities are posted in the hallway by the Career Counselor office.
