PBIS "makes me go home with a positive attitude. I go home and tell my family what a great day I had."

"I think that it helps me in everyday life so that I can do the right thing, not just in school, but at home and everywhere."

What PRMS Parents are saying about PBIS...
"It has helped to make him think before he acts. He seems more engaged in school."

"I think PBIS has impacted my student because it provides direction on what the expectations are for PRMS."

"My child is REALLY taking ownership of her school work! She studies for test without being told or reminded to do so."

"She is more comfortable being able to express how she feels because she feels safe and that the teachers and administration cares about her as a person and not just another student."

What is PBIS?
Pine Ridge Middle School is a PBIS school - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports. The program was developed by the U.S. Department of Education to help schools improve their learning environment through improving social behavior and academic performance. The PBIS website has more information - http://www.pbis.org. The GOLD Standards document at the bottom of this page has examples of behaviors we encourage.

PBIS and Student Behavior
We believe PBIS helps our students to achieve more by reducing negative behaviors and acknowledging positive behaviors.
